Two houses on our street recently sold, and after doing some renovations,
one family moved in about a week ago, Mom and Dad and 2 little boys, their
birthdays are 2 days apart in November, the oldest will be 3 and the little
guy will be 1 year. So Monday evening we are out walking on our street and
we met the mom and the almost 3-year old. He wanted to pet the dogs, no
problem, all my bunch are very good with children.

So Brody, the little boy, is petting everyone while mom sits on the sidewalk
with him and I'm standing there holding leashes. He is having a big time,
and then he gets to Baxter, who is a rather large love bug. Baxter is
pretty much all black and white, with big black ears and a huge black head
with a little white, and he has a lot of black freckles. Brody is just
fascinated with Baxter, who is kissing him, and says to his mom, "is it a
cow?" She says well, the doggie does king of look like a cow, and I said
basically the same thing. Brody keeps staring at Baxter, then looks up at
me and says "can I pet the cow?" I just said yes, go ahead, and he sat and
petted Baxter for several minutes. His mom and I agreed, he really thinks
Baxter, my big sweet boy, is a cow. I guess if you're not quite 3 and have
only seen pictures of cows in books, then Baxter does look like a cow. Next
time we see Brody we are going to moo. I grew up around dairy cattle, I moo
really well.
