OUR volunteers here and myself want to encourage everyone to help Chris 
Bly who runs WMBR, Inc. so rescues can be part of the ShelterChallenge, 
which by far is one of the nicest and greatest ways to get needed funds 
and or prizes to rescue organizations.
Years back, we won the thousand dollars and it helped us save another 
lonely abused Basset and I remember that moment ........to think that 
there were people out there that cared enough to help the dogs we had 
saved or are about to save.  That win showed support from our entire 
hound community:  I cried.  We in rescue cannot do this alone, that is 
what we have to emphasize.

If I did not have Karen to help pick up dog food to feed.......Maria to 
bring in the dozen donations Basset jars we have around at different 
retail establishments, Tricia to come once every week or two to help me 
with loads of cleaning and washing the linens from the shelter, Sharon 
and Cheri as backup to care for hounds in case I get ill and cannot, and 
the list of volunteers continues.........but our point is that not one 
person can handle it all and we all need to help out.

Can  someone help out and supply a list of organizations that "are" 
available to be our next Challenge winner?
that way it will be most helpful for Chris to post who you all want to 
choose as time unfolds.

Thank you and heart felt drool coming to anyone who needs a little 
lift.  We know how important that is.
