[Dailydrool] A new friend for Barney

My Maggie passed away suddenly 10 months ago. I am at a place that I can talk about her and think about her and smile and laugh at her and her many antics.  For the last few months I have been on line looking to adopt a senior boy as a companion for our Barney.
Well, I have found the perfect basset for us. His name is Tate, which I've already referred to him as "tater tot".  He is 9 years old. Same age as Barney. He's a red and white handsome boy. I'm not sure where he is right now but he will be transported to Massachusetts next week and we are going to bring Barney to meet him.
I've been looking for a few months and for some reason, this particular basset hound has got a hold on me and I think he's perfect for us. I filled out the application on line and we're just waiting for him to arrive. I just pray that he and Barney like each other.
