[Dailydrool] Help with the gardening

Back in the day, the late Commander Bo used to help me with the gardening. i would be seated on the ground pulling weeds. he would sit next to me and pull up plants by their roots (just as I was doing, but he made no distinction between weeds and other plants).

I am amused to announce that Mariah is taking up Bo's duties. today I was up on a stepladder trimming the top of a hedge with clippers. Behind me I could hear a "snick, snick, snick" sound. when I checked it out I discovered Mariah was behind me trimming the lower branches of a small (about eight feet tall)mango tree, jumping up and pulling the leaves off the lower branches one by one and dropping them on the ground.  No real problem, and the fruit isn't in season now. Looked like she was having more fun than I was, that is for sure. val of Hawaii, with Mila and Mariah vlbzwick at yahoo.com
