Hello drool family. I hope that everyone's 2015 is going well. Heart healing drool to anyone whose beloved hound has made that journey to the Rainbow Bridge. All is well here at Howling Hound Acres, a little cold but we are staying inside except to go out to feed the cows and check on their water. I have a steer that likes to pull the heater that keeps his water from freezing over out of the watering tank. The hounds, especially Xander is not happy with not getting their daily walks in because the temps have been to low and the windchill has been brutal. We have been under a cold weather advisory all week
As for the made in America treats...I agree with Bev. It is just to confusing and way to much work to find out if treats and all of their ingredients are made and grown in the USA. And since many of the companies have no integrity or a soul you can't trust them to tell the truth on where their ingredients come from. So all of the boys treats are made right here at Howling Hound Acres, by the momma, all with human grade food. Chicken & liver jerky, cookies and other treats. Yes it is a lot of work, but well worth it not to have a sick hound. However...I never thought about the chicken being from overseas. Here in southern Indiana there are a nickzillion chicken and turkey houses. You can't throw a rock without hitting one. But you better believe that I will be checking into where our chicken is coming from. The liver comes from a local butcher shop that butchers local livestock.
Love and good wishes drool
Michele, momma to the Bad A$$ Bassets
