[Dailydrool] You say tomato, I say "Give me that!"

Julie, Paddi B Basset loves tomatoes, and thinks that Gallagher has
excellent taste.

One memorable day I was standing looking into the refrigerator. There was a
plump, ripe and presumably juicy tomato on the bottom shelf. Suddenly,
there was a tri-colored blur of movement and a sort of swooshing sound. I
blinked. The tomato was gone. So was Miss Basset. I found her enjoying her
prize in the living room. It was indeed juicy.

One summer we had a huge crop of tomatoes, and I had some in containers on
a bench on the back deck. Paddi grew quite adept at stretching up to pick
them. I finally left those plants to her, since it seemed no one else
appreciated them half so much!
