[Dailydrool] Drinking water away from home

Our Lucy has her share of quirks. When out on a long walk, or traveling, we carry water for her. She has a lot of black in her coat and gets too warm easily in the sun. So we pour the water in the bowl and she is so easily distracted by passers-by and road noise -or other dogs or birds - that she looks around and does not drink. We discovered by accident that if one of us takes a finger and removes a few drops from the bowl and sprinkles it on her nose, she will start drinking. On a related note, she will not drink community water at events, pet friendly shops, etc. even if it is fresh and she is thirsty. Anyone else have similar experiences? Who knows what goes on in those sweet heads.
Lucy (and your problem with this is...?) and her people, Linda and Lynn, toting the water
