[Dailydrool] Dog doors and butler

I would like to know if Basset owners dogs go through doggy doors just 
fine if no human around, but it you are standing near door, waits 
stubbornly until you open it for them.

Don't have any of the Basset persuasion anymore, and can't remember if 
any of them treated me like a butler. All the current dogs do -- they 
will outwait me if I try to remind them they are perfectly capable of 
going through the door by themselves. I always give in, of course. I was 
on my way out, or in, anyway.....
