[Dailydrool] Stupid Psuodomonus

Unfortunately I have had more than my fair share of experience with this
stupid bug. When it is in an ear, the cause is usually a food allergy. Poor
Bugsey suffered with this the first 2 years of his life. They have a lot
better drugs out there than they used to have, but getting a good culture
and resistance test is critical. It can be extremely difficult to get. When
Bismark ATB had this we found that gentomycin worked. I had to give the
poor boy a shot every 8 hours. My needle phobic mother thought I should put
him to sleep.  He loved getting the shots because I gave him treats for
sitting nicely for the shots.

This is an extremely wicked and difficult bug to get rid of. Follow the
vet's instructions and always agree to be more agressive.  For the record I
hate baytril. Bismark refused to eat the chewable tablet and it was such a
fight to get it down him. It just makes Bugsey squirting out both ends.
