my vet wants to remove 2 cists from my 8.5 yr old girl basset. The cists were aspirated & the good news, neither is cancerous. I'm feeling uncomfortable w/having to knock her out to have the surgery. The cists don't seem to bother her so I'm thinking, why should we do this. Does anyone have any thoughts? Not only is it going to be a hardship for my girl, it also will cost us roughly $800 to $1100! Yikes. Thank you all for any advice, suggestions.

>
> This is Jasmin and Joshua chiming in ,today is our Birthday.my brother Joshua is three and I am 18 or 19 years old ,the slaves are not quite sure as I was 13 when they rescued me and they are not quite sure if I have lived 5 or 6 years with them. But my vet will know as I was taken to see her the first week I arrived at my new home. The slaves cooked the lamb and the pig to spoil us today with some left over for the rest of the week. We are still nursing the slave Johnathan ,he has now completed 16 chemos ,one every 2 weeks and is currently taking a six week chemo holiday. On the 8 th July the slave will be having extensive blood tests and on Thursday morning 9 th July will be having various scans followed by a visit with the oncologist at 12 noon . We have been lucky that the slave has walked us every day and cooked daily for us hounds and the humans since starting chemo even when taking his chemo take away which he has at home. We went to the Spa last week and the slave
> Johnathan took pictures of us for our birthday and the slave William put them on face book as the slave Johnathan does not really do face book even though he has his own page.

> Hi, Bev. We had an aggression problem develop between one of our dogs (yes, Bobo the Inhaler himself) and our son Aaron's hearing assistance dog, Garfield. Bobo didn't take kindly to all the attention that Garfield seemed to receive in his capacity as Aaron's "ears." The person who trained Garfield came in and worked with us on anger management, identifying triggers, and arranging the environment to reduce conflict. Although I can't say Bobo and Garfield are best buddies, they do tolerate each other and we feel more confident about being able to manage the situation. Do you have any good dog behaviorists in your area? You might want to try a consultation. Sending drool your way for peace in your time.
