[Dailydrool] Drool Calendar - May 11th

In actuality, today's date, May 11th, is not specifically significant in the Burns' household.  However, due to the efforts of Laura Salmon - we were issued a second Daily Drool calendar date.  As such,  we thought it would be an excellent opportunity to honor our first basset puppy, Samantha Sue.  

Born on May 17, 1993 - she came into our lives 4 months later.  We were honored to be basset-trained by one of the best!  She was a true diva in every sense of the word and had us both wrapped around her paw -- especially her Dad!  We enjoyed almost 11 full years with her.

Rarely a day goes by without thinking or talking about her antics.   Plus she has laid the groundwork for 3 more wonderful hounds since then.
