If you’re in Mercer County, you should be close enough to take advantage of the University of Pennsylvania’s vet school. I’m positive your vet would be happy to give you a referral to one of their specialists. I know when I finally got up the nerve to ask my vet for a referral to a vet school for our Late Jane Basset, my vet was actually relieved to have been asked and to have an excuse to send a problem she couldn’t solve to another vet to deal with. So your vet should have no problem giving you a referral or asking that Daisy Duke be seen as quickly as possible. 

Vet schools are good places to take those cases that other vets can’t seem to diagnose and treat, because vet schools are quite experienced with treating the unusual. 

I hope you’re able to get some answers soon and Daisy Duke will be feeling like her old self again before much longer.
