You didn't mention how old Bobo is. Supposedly dogs between 3-6 are the
most likely to start having allergies. Turst me! This is not set in stone,
but a basset that is 10 and has NEVER had an allergy is less likely to
suddenly be experiencingone for the first time. You cannot be allergic to
something you have never been exposed to before.

Okay. Has anything changed? New flooring, new cleaner, new air freshner,
laundry soap, laundry softner, etc?

Barring that, depending on what part of the country you live in, this is
the time of year mold is terrible. A mold allergy could certainly cause
those symptoms. Bugsey is well known for just losing his hair when his
allergies are bad. Of course with hair loss, you have to also consider low
thyroid, but the itchy bumps are classic allergy, not thyroid.

We feel your pain! I hate fall allergies. I am covered in itchy bumps being
treated with prednisone myself. You might play with adding another
antihistamine. Beauford is on benadryl and zyrtec. Bugsey is on benadryl
and hydroxizine. You don't want to be in the same place as Browyn on
benadryl. It does NOT make her tired. It makes her hyper! They are also on
apoquel, but it is in short supply. So most vets will do just about
everything else first before subscribing it. Good luck! Itchy bumps are not
fun at all!
