[Dailydrool] Why do people have to be so mean?

I don't post much, but felt the need this time. I have been with the Drool for about 8 years now and have started to wonder when the people on the list became so mean spirited? 
There was a recent post about leaving the drool and then a response to that post indicating the announcement was for drama and if not then if the person had already left so be it. Was it really necessary to post that? If you felt they wee doing it for drama then let it go. You never know what is going on in peoples life's so why judge especially on a site that is suppose to be helping fellow basset owners. I am also surprised that the post was allowed to go thru. 
  
That being said, it just seems that there is much mean spiritedness than ever before.
