I have said it over and over again (please listen now): Eye issues need
an eye vet. Regular vets do not get a lot of training in eyes. I HIGHLY
recommend making an appointment with an eye vet.
We learned this the hard way, with our Dexter, who came to us after he'd
lost an eye to glaucoma. We wasted a lot of time in an ER vet's before I
discovered this truth.
An eye vet will cost you more, short term, but it may end up saving you
a lot of trouble and helping your dog keep its sight.
I'm not trying to be mean, but I wish someone had told me this early on.
Even though glaucoma needs to be treated quickly, I found that it was
better to wait a day and see the specialist.
