​Have you been to one of the University Vet schools with him?
since this is a condition that affects his lifespan rather drastically, I
would certainly do that and very soon. I am a big believer in letting the
people trained for a specific problem check it out. Your regular Vet may be
outstanding, but I bet he's not a liver specialist.
