[Dailydrool] old dog vestibular disease

Has anyone on the Drool ever dealt with old dog vestibular disease? Our Basset, Bobo's lovely Lab assistant, Scout, was suddenly hit by this. We thought she'd had a stroke! Her eyes have gone all wobbly (nystagmus) and she can't stand up. Our vet has given her meclizine for the dizziness, but mostly she's just on home nursing care and hope. It does resolve for many dogs but I guess it can take a couple of weeks. Home care tips would be most welcome! She will drink from a syringe but not a bowl, and will eat bits of cocktail sausages but nothing else. I'll be grateful for any advice and information!
