Alas and alack, we struck out today on getting Ipo and Jane adopted. The grown daughter who had arranged the home visit and the interview, who very much thinks a dog would help her dad with his emotional rehabilitation after a stroke, thought Ipo was perfect as a companion for her disabled father, as did I, and the mother was also enthused, but the father felt he just "wasn't ready yet" for a dog, and his word was the last.
