[Dailydrool] Gas

Unfortunately gas is a very difficult thing to cure. I will say that
charcoal can only be used short term because it blocks the absorption of
many minerals.

I fed probiotics for years with very little improvement. I still think they
helped the gut, just not enough on their own. After the dogs got their
allergy tests results back, I went on a mission to clear up everyone's gas.

Browyn's gas went away two weeks after I changed her food to something she
wasn't allergic to. It took two weeks because I didn't slowly change her
food. Soshe is eating Nature's Variety Instinct Limited Ingredient Turkey.
The carbohydrate in it is peas.

I put Beauford on the same food as Browyn and he was still a gas hog. So I
switched him to Natural Balance Potato and Duck. No more gas.

Bugsey has gas and regurgitates unless I make his food. He does the very
best when I feed him Turkey, quinoa, broccoli, and blueberries. You read
that correctly and I can't explain it. Bugsey has to be the only dog in the
universe who has no gas when eating a cup of broccoli a day.

So my point here is that every dog is different and it sometimes takes some
sluething to figure out the best diet for your dog. I am just grateful that
we aren't being gassed out of the living room every evening any more.
