O thank you everyone for the help. Yes I will relax a little and yes I will
try the milk thistle-- that stuff is good to have on hand anyway and I did
not think of it.
We also overlooked one other probably very important thing: She had had a
season before I picked her up. If I count back it is almost exactly 63
days. Her little mammaries are swollen and her nether regions a bit on the
floppy side and this fits exactly with the condition of the uterus when it
was removed: we are thinking "spay" but poor Merta Lou's hormones have all
geared up for a false pregnancy. I should have put it all together before,
but I didn't. I had suspected as much before but then forgot about it
Zelda's were so incredible we even took her to a Reproduction specialist
who said Zelda's false pregnancies were among the worst she had ever seen.
We are giving her special food--she eats a little-- and loving her up.
