[Dailydrool] Lip fold dermatitis (or pyoderma)

Higgins has just a little area that is red on one of his lower lips.  The vet could smell Higgins bad odor for the first time today (that's a surprise, I think he always has an aroma).  He told me a permanent fix would be to surgically remove that part of his lip!  Has anyone done this? It would seem that I should try other options first.  I did bring some cleansing pads home (KetoHex Wipes).
