Aloha. This is Pw. Mariah the Maraudah of Hawaii. I am entertaining my first "before I moved to Hawaii" visitors today. When I was living at Daphneyland, a lovely couple named EVam and Susie Wilde came to visit the basset ranch. They lived in California then. And they fell in love with me me me me me (of course) but were told " that is our aloha hound. she is spending her quarantine time with us and then moving to the Big Island of Hawaii so she is not available for adoption".   SInce that meeting over a year ago, the Wildes have been transferred to Hawaii themselves (Oahu/different island). They are basset people and are looking for their very own basset hound to take the place of an elder hound who recently journeyed to the bridge.  They can't have me, of course, I have a home already, such as it is. (I am not a movie star here as I was in California, but I am well loved and sleep on a heated waterbed,  and am alpha and get to boss around two other dogs,so there are definite perks). My momperson is one of several droolers  (along with Kim Slagel and Dave Wethington) who do basset relocations here in Hawaii when a homeless basset turns up, which is not very often. But it so happens that a yearling basset has just become available on my island. So the Wildes are coming to have a look at him. And first they are stopping to greet me me me me me. and if they like the buppy, I am going to help them take him home by giving them my very own, imported from Daphneyland, flight crate for their trip.  I feel so important!
