[Dailydrool] drama

Monday evening Browyn was driving us nuts wanting to go out every 15
minutes. Then that night, she woke up every 1.5 hours to go outside.
Tuesday morning when she went out she would squat and pee three times
before coming in. So, I leashed her and caught some urine and we went to
the vet.

She was very excited when she found out she was going somewhere...until she
found out she was going by herself. I dragged her down the hall and finally
carried her to the car because it was easier on my back. She cried the
whole way.We get to the vet and no bacteria in the urine sample. But, there
is blood and the pH is too high. So she had to have blood work done. Blood
work was normal. Then she had xrays to make sure there weren't any bladder
stones. Nope. So we were given an urine acidifier which is supposed to have
great palatability, but Browyn has declared it too nasty for words. So I am
putting it in her dinner and mixing well. She is still eating dinner. Well,
as you can imagine, all this took time to do and the dad beat us home.
Apparently Bugsey was very distraught when he found out Tim came home
without his Browyn and he cried. And cried. Fortunately I got home soon
after that and the boy quit crying. The only problem was he was so excited
to see Browyn that he was trying to get her to play and he was being too
rough after Browyn's trials and tribulations at the vet. So, she hauled off
and bit him. It was a cease and desist bite, not a going for blood bite,
but it made Bugsey cry. Once they got outside and she peed and got a drink,
Browyn was in a mood to play with her boy Bugsey.

For the record, the acidifier isn't working yet. So, I am not getting much
sleep. I am ready to bite all three of the bassets. So I will be calling to
find out the next plan of action.
