[Dailydrool] Curiosity

I am just curious.
With notable exceptions, my dogs --Bassets and others--have all been males.
Because I am an occasional dog show person my dogs tend to be kept intact
longer than many are. While I do not miss the seasonal whims and problems
of the girls, intact males have their detractions. But on the whole, this
is what I have.

So I know pretty much why I like the boys. Why do others have all girls, or
all boys or one of each?
