[Dailydrool] Thanks for making Duchess' Grandpa's 94th birthday special!

Our Daily Drool family really is so special -- and it does feel like a family.  The support, the caring, the friendship -- all cemented by the bond of our love for our goofy, floppy, devoted, waddling furbabies.  

And you have come through again, giving such an amazing gift to my Dad (Duchess' Grandpa) on his 94th birthday!  I am so moved by your kindness, and how many of you went out of your way to send a card to cheer up this wonderful man who was feeling lonely and forgotten.  You changed all that!  

I wish I could post pictures, so you could see the delight and pleasure on his face, the biggest smiles I've seen in a while, when he opened your cards.  He was amazed when he received the first one, then it became the highlight of his day, waiting for the mailman and "maybe another basset card?"  And there were so many!  Filled with basset faces and basset notes that made him laugh, or brought back memories of our Duchess (ATB).  

I only have one regret -- that you didn't all include your email addresses so I could thank you personally for this sweet gift of love! 

Please know how much your kind gestures deeply touched this dear, good man, and truly made his birthday special.
