I forgot to mention that out of curiosity and to make sure that the Canine Caviar was working, I also bought PH test strips at my local pharmacy to some sure Speedy wasn't getting worse. I tested about a month after Speedy switched food and then monthly after that for the first 6 months. 

The way I see it is if it doesn't work than go back to vet recommendations but at least try to see if you can treat the illness and get good ingredients in if you can.
