[Dailydrool] Dog Park

Years and years ago we had a belgian shepherd/lab mix (and possibly other
things but that was before doggy DNA testing).  When he was about 14,
someone once asked us why we had a wolf mix.  I had to laugh and explain
that he was not a wolf, just a very old dog who was nearly deaf and as
gentle as could be.

We go to our local dog park every Sunday morning.  We did a "terrible"
thing last week - - we traded in the BUV (Honda Element).  It was THE
basset car.  It replaced another Element so this is all the 4 hounds know.
My 2 year old Honda Odyssey is now the BUV.  Gallagher does not like
change.  He whined and lay down on the garage floor.  After the 3 others
were in the car, he reluctantly jumped up (butts must be lifted in any
car).  First day as the BUV and when we get to the dog park - it's got huge
puddles, left over from TS Hermine the other day.

I figured MacKenzie and Guinness would be in it.  Gallagher hates the
water.  He won't go on the driveway if the sprinklers made it wet.
Today.... he decided that change might be good!  So he spent the morning
going back and forth through the mud puddle.  Then he happily went to the
car.  sigh  ):  ):
