[Dailydrool] Babes and OEBE

Pam, I feel your pain - the memory is playing tricks on me too. But the
arch-nemesis of the BABES was the OEBE - Order of the Evil Basset Empire
(founded by Noah Go-Slowah, tormentor of Janice Colvin).

I had one too. Maggie d'Earest. That girl could destroy ANYTHING. Just last
October I finally replaced the flooring where she had chewed a hole in it.
I can't afford to replace the carpet. Yup. She ate it. I don't mean she
ripped it up and left pieces around...the pieces came out the back end of
the hound. I duct-taped the rest of the carpet down, and it's still like
that. I had to take out the built-in cabinets in the utility room - Maggie
chewed a hole right through the side of it, big enough to get her head
thru. Looking for kibble.

Speaking of kibble...there was the time I left a new 40 pound bag of dog
food in the room with her - forgot it was there. She ate it. Well, maybe
not ALL of it, but enough that she could no longer fit through the dog
door. And we all know that what goes in, must come out. And it did. All
over. I had dog poop everywhere. And that's when the DD taught me about
crate training. And OEBE.

I miss all my dogs. Some more than others. Maggie was special in many ways,
but she sure was a pain too. She's been gone for years, but my house will
never be the same. Literally :)

She makes the little trouble-makers I have now seem like saints.
