Pumpkin had a chronic heart murmur that was under control without
medication, and after a few years of yearly echocardiagroms, it was deemed
she was stable. She lived to almost 14, but what her did in the end was
giving her incontinence medicine. Within a couple of days, her bp was
through the roof, and both her third eye lids blinded her. She was rushed
in, taken off the incontinence meds and was given blood pressure medicine.
I stupidly pointed out a mass on her rib that turned out to be positive for
cancer. I let her have that surgically removed, but she passed two weeks
after anyway.

Little Nikki had a chronic heart murmur for a few years also. She was
finally discharged from the yearly echo exam, but now she has liver
issues. Not related. She is almost 11.

Nigel has had the most scary heart event. He was on the operating table
for a growth removal and his bp went down to 40. Normal low for a dog is
60. I asked he stay overnight for observation. In the am, his EKG was not
normal.

Long story short, I could have brought him to a specialist, but I did not,
He is almost 14. He has had a lot of poking in his short life. I agreed
to do oral meds, recheck and do an echo, recheck with another EKG. He is
fine now.

I hope fine is the result for Conley.

Major healing drool.
