Today we were given some bad news pertaining to our Basset, Edgar. Seems he might have a mass in his right eye! Problem being, he just had a malignant mass removed from it just 22 months ago! They thought they had gotten it all. Our local vet took some pictures and pressures today, sent them off to the Opthamologist down in Williamson Mi. , where he was checked out after his last surgery. Our Edgar has the best temperament, except for one other Basset Hound we have had in our lives! He`s a clown, and a talker. But now we are living on pins and needles! He just had surgery to remove three lumps last July. One of which was cancer. He had a lump on his rear toe removed just last December also. He has had lumps removed two other times, and bounced back really good. Now he has been my constant companion since I retired in 2010. He is my best bud! We have traveled numerous times with him, even to California and back from Michigan, a month on the road. And he never complained for nothing! While we never know how long these buddies of ours will be with us, we are hoping for some more time, if it can be. We will do the right thing for Edgar, whatever that may be! I don`t usually write, just lurk. But I feel I had to write tonight, just to get it out of me!
