Bev, I agree with your thoughts completely.  I often joke with Millie's vet that if she had kids, all my vet visits would help put them through school.  I always take them in just to make sure.  I helps keep them healthy and helps me to sleep.  It's the old a ounce of prevention is worth more than a pound of cure.
