On Christmas Eve, Millie woke up with an upset tummy. Gave her some Cerenia, and things settled down. We went out for a walk and she did poop. By the afternoon she was on the boiled chicken and rice and was on that until yesterday afternoon when she went back on her regular diet. Christmas day in the afternoos she stared to walk wonky, limping and appearing to struggle a bit. She did settle down a bit walked a bit better. Yesterday she went to the vet because of her wonky walking and was told to increase the Tramodal and Gabapentin to 2 tablets each 3 times a day. So I started it yesterday. This morning she got up at 6:30, and I heard what sounded like her nails slipping on the bathroom tile. I got up and found her just laying in the doorway wagging her tail. She then tried to get up and come to me and had the most difficult time walking, really struggling. She did not want to put weight on her front paw and just all around looked like she was in pain. She even yelped once. I quickly got up, got dressed and made plans to take her to the ER. I got her moving, got her down the stairs and out the door and she started to walk normal and at a pace she has not done for several days. So the ER trip was put off. Called the vet and she said to keep an eye on her and continue the meds. As of tonight if she walks slowly she does limp and sort of plod. But at a faster pace she does it more normal. In fact when I took her out at 4pm, she even started to run after a squirrel that was in the yard. She walked fairly well out there to go pee. Then back in the house and walking more weirdly. I just do not know what to do. This morning when she had this problem, I stopped the Hemp oil, thinking that may have caused the problem. Oh yes, Today she finally pooped twice, which also bothered me as the last time she did was Christmas Eve.
