[Dailydrool] The castle walls have been breached

this is Pw.  Mariah. A barbarian horde of hairy giants has just breached the castle walls and invaded my kingdom. I fought valiantly to drive them back.  I bravely chased the hairy horde around the yard growling and baying and snapping, flashing my set of little toothy white swords, with my bodyguard Ipo running at my side willing to jump in if the tide turned, I needed defending, or blood was drawn. My battle cries were ear-splitting; the ferocity intense.  

And then, the horror--the human queen betrayed us!  Fought us back and opened the doors of the castle itself to the invaders, insisting on cease fire. At the moment there is an uneasy truce. My pack has retreated and is holding the human bed, warily, while the invaders are ransacking the living room.  We can hear them out there. It sounds like they are pillaging the trash cans. THe queen is with us, unwilling to take on the barbarians in the other room herself just now while she has our own troops safely  bedded down.  IT may be a long night.  MAriah, warrior princess

VAl:  Mariah's account is fairly accurate. Friends of my husband who are moving to the mainland ran late for their flight tonight--the last one off the island to LA.  -the humans made their flight but they missed the cargo deadline to ship their two large dogs on their plane (gigantic labradoodles the size of Irish wolfhounds).  So, my husband picked up the dogs and now the labradoodles are our house guests until we receive further instructions when and where to send them, hopefully tomorrow.

The doodles are big, gentle creatures who are taking no offense, but all three of my girls are bent out of shape and only tolerating the intruders because I insist. I think it is going to be a long night. WE'll see whose flags are still flying by the dawn's early light.
