[Dailydrool] Basset mixes

I've likely told everyone this long ago but here I'm doing it again. When
Vernon Q "all basset all the time" Basset was advertised on the local SPCA
website, he was identified as a "basset cross."

We needed someone good with cats, so I called to find out about him.

"It says he's a basset cross," said I. "Crossed with what?"

"Hang on," said the staff person, going out to gaze at Vern. Back she came.

"Another basset," she said.

Pointer/corgi? Sure, why not?
