[Dailydrool] To waddle or not to waddle

Good afternoon fellow droolers. Been awhile since I have asked a question
but here goes. We have recently brought into our home the lovely Ms. Itsy
Bitsy. She is almost two and was rehomed by her family because she was a
handful, got car sick and they were a young family who were on the go, and
she played too rough with their 9 year old beagle. She is a beautiful dog
and so far she just seems like puppy to the extreme. We walk about 2 miles
a day and that seems to keep her calmed down a bit. I have noticed she is
very nervous around people and will not just let someone come up to her.
She will back off and possibly growl. It takes time for her to accept new
people. When approached by another dog, she drops to the ground and flat
bassets. If it's a big dog, she will try to chase and pull away. If it's a
little dog, she wants to play and play and play. It is my understanding
that at one time, she was taken to see her brother and she showed no
interest in playing with him or being with him. I would love to eventually
get her another basset to play with and be part of a pack. So to my
question - there is a waddle coming up in September - is it too soon to try
her out with all the other bassets? I don't want to traumatize her but
would love to see how she does with her basset people.

And when I say she is Extreme - she can jump a three foot fence, flies off
the stairs from 3-4 stairs up, has zoomies EVERY night for at least 20
minutes and is basically Super Pup.

Just looking for thoughts from the experts. ;-)

Thanks, Itsy Bitsy's slave Suzie
