Most older hounds get these lumps under their skin.  Our vet told me that if
you can get your fingers around the whole lump (as in it doesn't feel like
it is attached to anything), it is almost certainly a sebaceous cyst and not
a concern unless it gets huge or breaks open or the dog is fussing with it.
If you think a lump is attached, take your hound to his vet right away to
have it evaluated.
