Bev, We have a friend whose Maltese went blind in just a couple of weeks. Jack was older than your daughter’s puppy, probably 6 or 7 years old. They took him to a veterinary ophthalmologist who diagnosed it as SARDS, Sudden acquired retinal degeneration syndrome. I don’t know much about it, except they think it can be related to Cushings, and it happens most often in small breeds.
