I followed somewhat the same steps as Dale. Radar had one one the back of his neck. Saw the red spot on the footstool and then his neck. I just squeezed it until all the gunk came out, gross. Cleaned it with witch hazel and let it be. I checked it daily, making sure the hair didn’t mat and would squeeze if necessary to clear it out then wiped clean. It went away, but came back one more time, smaller. Same process and now it’s gone.
