My poor little Clara just can't catch a break at the moment.
Back in December I found she had a humdinger of a UTI infection (these are getting more common despite supplements). A week into her two weeks of antibiotics, she was struck down with vestibular disease.
She has been recovering steadily, but I took her back to the vet last week to check if she was peeing in the house because of confusion following the vestibular problem, or maybe her UTI hadn't quite cleared. I was also concerned because one of her eyeballs looks as if it's slightly protruding.
She is due to go on Friday next week to have all the pressures in her eye checked, but two different vets were unsure if the eye was actually being pushed forward by something behind it. I don't want her to suffer from glaucoma, but neither do I want there to be anything manifesting behind her eye. Now she is showing a slight swelling on one side of her snooter. She is not in pain and is eating and running around, but clearly that is not a good sign either.
Please keep my poor little lady in your thoughts. At 13-and-a-half she has done so well up until now.
