Has anyone's hound experienced chronic urethritis? My vet
says it is autoimmune. We adopted Daphne about 2 months
ago and she had strange habits going potty. She would just
do a little drip after sleeping all night. Then she'd walk
around the yard doing a few more little drips. Doc tried
treating her with prednisone, but it didn't really help.
It was helping the symptoms, but not the cure. He did a
scope and found tons of bacteria, not in her urine. That
was the first thing he tested. Said her urine is perfect
and sent her home. I kept persisting, please do more
tests. This is not normal. The scope found a lot. Poor
little girl. It must be very painful to go potty. She is
now on Cyclophosphamide (a chemo therapy drug) for 7
weeks. 4 days on/3 days off. With all the seniors I have
had over the years, this is something new to me, so just
wondering if anyone else had had anya experience and how
it was treated.
