[Dailydrool] Oops

MomPerson goes to the drugstore to pick up a couple of prescriptions.
The place is very busy, lots of pharmacy Techs, lots of customers, everyone
talking, handing over stuff and paying and answering phones and doing the
drive-up.
The Tech,standing several feet away says to MomPerson:
"We have two others here: one for John and one for Conley."
And without thinking, MomPerson says:
"Oh. Conley died."


Stunned and total silence. All movement stops. All eyes, wide, are on
MomPerson, mouths slightly open. Customers freeze as well, staring.

HE WAS A DOG HE WAS A DOG HE WAS A DOG

OH! Everyone breathes, everyone picks up where they left off, except for
two Techs who are dog people and genuinely sad to hear the news.

Good going, MomPerson.
