[Dailydrool] 2019 Daily Drool Calendar

I don't want to come over as being a mean person, but I think the Daily Drool family deserves a better explanation as to why the 2019 Daily Drool Basset a Day Calendar will not be published next year, with more than just a sorry. Are the problems something we are not allowed to know?

I just went through some old Daily Drool files, and our 2018 calendar is our 10th consecutive year being in the DD calendar. For a few weeks, I have seen the occasional question pop up about the 2019 calendar, and there has been no mention from anyone concerning issues, difficulties, maybe the calendar is not continuing...nothing. Now, here it is June 22nd, and we just get told no calendar, but maybe in 2020. For years, whoever was doing the calendar, they published it, often with difficulties, maybe with late photos, printers having delays, plenty of issues, but never a quit before it was begun.

If there was an anticipated difficulty with the 2019 edition last year, maybe the majority of us who participate every year, would have liked a heads up. If there had been issues, nobody, (at least as being published on the Daily Drool) was approached concerning the possibility of lending a hand, taking on the task, working with others as a team to get the calendar published. Nothing. Again, here it is June 22nd, and there is no way anyone could possibly take on this task and achieve it's completion without copious amounts of help. A Daily Drool tradition is being lost.

My wife, Debbie, is on her way home from work. I get to tell her the DD calendar is not coming out next year. She'll ask me why, and I'll tell her the truth, because there were problems that were not revealed. So we don't know who, what, when, why, how, where...nothing. Seem fair?

Again, not trying to sound mean, just wanting more than a sorry.

Unfortunately, due to some problems which I will not go into, there will
not be a calendar for next year. There was talk about possibly
resurrecting it for the following year, but that's to be determined at
some later date. Sorry.

Duchess ATB would love to organize the guardian angels to watch over both the Barkmitzvah and the trip to Greece!

She'll make sure that the Daily Drool houndies at the Bridge keep a close eye on every bit of the festivities -- she promises that all the participants down here will feel their presence. And the ATB houndies will enjoy being part of these very special Drool events!

Beth, for Duchess ATB

Hello I Miss Merta Lou, World Famous Investigative Reporter
has a query.

At the back of the yard is a pole.
On the pole the ShePerson has put a thing that hangs there and does nothing.
Every two days or so she brings it in, washes it, fills it with what looks
to be water that she has cooked on the stove a few days before in the
bottle and hangs it back out on the pole.

Miss Merta Lou's nose says this is not water but has something very sweet
in it like sugar, and so she (I ) hangs around this pole waiting for it to
fall down BUT

There is some kind of sentient being that also hangs around the pole. It is
too big to be a dragonfly. It buzzes like a giant waps. wraps. wasp. It is
small but fierce and it does NOT LIKE Ms Merta Lou, so she (I ) leave
quickly when it comes to the thing hanging on the pole.

The MotherPerson says it is a Singerbird. No--Hummerbird. Here is my query.
How does the tiny Hummerbird know the bottle is there? Does she smell it
the way I do? Or see it? Or what?

Thank you for your time. Inquiring minds and all that.
Love & Cuddles
Merta Lou, Professional Lady Basset
