[Dailydrool] bugler & stuff

i'll miss the bugler...I was always so excited when a story of mine got included in an edition.  sorry to see it go but it's much work so I understand.  kind of like the joy I got when my dog was named basset of the week eons ago..i enlisted everyone I knew to vote for him..another bit of our history goes by the wayside.
slow me down bowls are used here too.  had to get them for buster brown.  he would just inhale food.  got sally one just because and she looked at it and cried..a little too much thought involved for the poor soul.
dexter uses one now...for his meals and for holding his bone while he chews on them.  he puts the bowl in the food compartment and chews it "no paws" involved.
we just passed 60 visits as a therapy dog team!   not too shabby..it's been one calendar year but we took the summer off last year for campground work.  we both are having the time of our lives visiting everyone and creating the chaos only a young basset can cause.
at the hospital last week, dexter spied his favorite nurse and greeted her with a few barks (something he doesn't usually do)..he was how ever near   a room we were asked to not visit.  the older male patient popped up, and said "is that a dog?" everyone answered yes .  he smiled and laid back down and fell asleep after stating.."i thought I was f*cking dreaming!"  never dull.  we also had a heard of toddlers following us for a bit saying "it's exter (d's were hard I guess)...with parents behind them!)   I have been told thanked for visiting since the other therapy dog there was before is very methodical, serious and not so interactive.   ah..we are none of those traits!
snow is melting in the great north woods thankfully.  mud comes soon!
