If you have a veterinary rehabilitation facility near you, you may
want to start there. The one that I took Bosley to and am currently
taking Maggie to offer rental wheels. They help you find the right
kind of wheels for your dog and you can rent wheels for a few weeks
or a month and see if he or she will use them before you spend the big
bucks. They will teach you how to get the dog in the wheels, help the
dog learn to use the wheels, etc. All for money, of course, but it may
be well worth the expense to find out your dog won’t use the wheels
or to find out the best kindof wheels for your dog’s particular issue.
They do the same thing with harnesses and other equipment that
may help your dog be or become more mobile or that will help
you help your dog. We got our Help Em Up Harness there for a
little more money than from the company that sells them, but they
also fitted the harness to him which was well worth it to me. There
are several kinds of assistance harnesses and it may be that a
different one works better for you and your dog .
