The recent $5 Friday fundraiser held by Debbies Dawgs raised just over
$3000 for the senior hounds at Droopy Basset Hound Rescue in PA. This
is what this event means to the rescue - Judy Helfferich, who runs Droopy,
posted this on our Debbies Dawgs FB page. Those of you who are not
on FB but who donated should be able to read this, too.

DBHR Senior fosters are so very grateful for the generousity of everyone who donated to help out our geriatric gang of fosters. Hermie is so glad he wont have to suffer through not having his favorite (at the moment) Kirkland biscuits. Harry so appreciated being able to have this teeth cleaned and the painful tooth pulled along with the various old man lumps, so he can once again be a chick magnet, and steal Hermies cookies. Muggy is sleeping in a dry bed, with help from the meds she needs. Humpy is going in to get a culture to see what special guck he is growing in his ear. Meggie's thyroid meds make such a difference in her quality of life. All of this is where your donations are going. We have a few more seniors on the way, and thanks to all of you we can take them in get them the care they need. We love our seniors special needs and all. They do take more time and money, and many become fur-ever fosters due to thier health. Not having to worry about funds constantly is more of a relief than you can imagine. This morning as I was getting breakfast ready for the 10 fosters residing at DBHR central, giving them the Med, supplements and a good quality food... I felt so blessed and humbled by your generousity and the peace in knowing that today we have what we need to care for these lovable old hounds, this means more than I could ever express in words.
God Bless all of you and know you are making a big difference in so many old souls lives.

As Debbie would say Dont Stop Believing - every penny, every dime, every dollar helps in some way.

We have so many great supporters that have been with us from day one.
Others have seen our FB page and joined us in supporting the seniors in
rescue. If you’ve never donated before, please consider joining in - we
make it easy for you to do. And we’re a 501c3 charity so your donation
is tax deductible. We are eligible for matching donations from many
corporations as well.

If you want a charity that gives 100% of what it takes in to their cause,
that’s us. We hope next time you’ll join us!

Our sincere thanks to our supporters who donated for Droopy. I know
you feel appreciated after reading Judy’s thank you.

Donna, drool fueler for Maggie and YaYa, yep that’s her name. We had to keep it!
