How about “it is hard to try and keep the pack together!” Our young one doesn’t know who to follow if we are out in a big park. Sometimes I will go one way, my husband the other, and the pup tears between the two of us, thru the woods, trying to keep an eye on us both. He gets lots of exercise that way. Jan and the hounds
