[Dailydrool] Strawberries

Back 30 years ago I had a couple of dogs that loved the blackberries that
grow wild everywhere. But they were spoiled. I picked them. One for
Freckles, one for Beezer, one for ME. Repeat ad infinitum. Or until I got
tired of it and we all went home. That, I should warn you, made for some
very funny colored stools. 

 

My current boys are not allowed the privilege of fresh strawberries. Or any
berries. In fact, there is a fence up in my back yard to keep them out of
the berry patch. Not that they ate them: it was their big feet trampling the
strawberries into mush. Did NOT make me happy.

 

Don't get me wrong. They get treats. Carrots happen to be a big hit. But the
berries are MINE. And Mom isn't here to make me share. So there.
