Blood test still indicates she still has high triglycerides. Before the
back went out and the super high doses of prednisone, her blood was
normal. When she was tested after she came off the prednisone, her
triglycerides were roughly 900. Next test was about 2500. Next test 400.
The most recent test 1600, after low fat diet, increased exercise and
omegas were in her life plan. Normal is about 200. Each blood test was a
month apart. The little I can understand about this condition (internet
research) has a warning about the pancreas. But what I read is a chicken
egg story. Does a bad pancreas cause the high triglycerides or do the high
triglycerides cause a bad pancreas? The vet recommended Fenofibrate. She
sees her holistic vet tomorrow, and I will chat with her about it, and I do
trust Nana's regular vet. That being said, I am nervous about giving her a
statin drug. I do not know why, but my gut is saying it to me.

Anyway, Nana says hi, especially to Snoopy. He needs to stay well, Chomper
needs him, the family needs him, the Drool needs him, but most important,
he must be well and comfortable.

The stress is back woofs,

Jackie and Nana
