[Dailydrool] Rules

Jane, our first basset, had the list of rules, and she made sure everyone
obeyed the house rules, fosters, adoptees, and humans. It did not matter if
she obeyed some rules, but all dogs who came here had to obey everything,
even rules I had failed to train Jane to obey.

Since we have gotten older, the rules have probably become fewer,
especially since I have been dealing with health issues. But Horton has a
few rules he'd like to add:

1. Mama belongs to me, me, me and only me. Papa cannot hug her without my
approval. Anyone getting near her has to go through me. I will bark, bark,
bark as necessary, unless I am afraid. Then I will hide behind her, but I
will always keep my eyes on the danger in question (usually a human).

2. I own the couch when I want to. Other times Dexter is free to share it
with me, but I make the rules, even if no one knows what they are.

3. Cats must always obey me. That includes you, Duncan.
