[Dailydrool] Hot Spots

Our 4 year old Nellie developed a hot spot inside her ear flap overnight.
Had her to the vet who put her on Baytril and fluconazole and she has just
had two doses.

Nellie is food insecure and for the first time today, won't eat her food
which she usually devours. She is also a counter cruiser. Her ear is
looking somewhat better but the complete lack of appetite worries us. I
finally enticed her with some turkey breast which she ate but she won't
touch her food.

We have had her six months and she has never gone into our Shih Tzu's crate
or chair and prior to the meds, she was jumping into everything. Probably
was trying to get comfortable.

We are bringing her back to our vet tomorrow as it is the complete loss of
appetite that worries us. I looked up these meds and they can depress
appetite or it may be the extreme discomfort. We are applying hydrogen
peroxide several times a day as our vet suggested.

Anyone have any experience with hot spots or these meds ?

Thanks...

Sally
